[Sugar-devel] [ANNOUNCE] Preparing for Sucrose 0.84 Release Candidate 1
Hello, We had a Sucrose 0.83.5 development release planed for January the 30 - we missed that opportunity. We just did an uncoordinated release of the latest sugar, sugar-toolkit and sugar-datastore so packagers can get those into the builds already. The next Sucrose release is next week - which will be our Release Candidate 1 [1]. Make sure to polish everything up and get your fixes in. Testers, please have a look at the new SoaS announcements (snapshots can be found at [2]) and the packages in your distribution of choice. Sincerely, Your release team [1] http://sugarlabs.org/go/DevelopmentTeam/Release/Roadmap#Schedule [2] http://download.sugarlabs.org/soas/snapshots/1/ ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel

Re: [Sugar-devel] [Olpc-open] justin.tv on the XO
Hi Sameer, On Wed, Feb 4, 2009 at 3:09 AM, Sameer Verma sve...@sfsu.edu wrote: Has anyone tried to get the XO to broadcast using justin.tv with Adobe Flash installed? If it works, it would make for a great live broadcaster. I've tried it in Browse and Firefox, it got up to the point where Adobe Flash asks me if I want to give Justin.tv camera/mic access, and then the Flash cam/mic access popup UI somehow made it impossible to click (or tab/space to) the Allow button. Curious before I try it out...not sure if Browse will be allowed to take over the camera and the mic. Whether this is even possible is another good question. -- Brian Sameer -- Dr. Sameer Verma, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Information Systems San Francisco State University San Francisco CA 94132 USA http://verma.sfsu.edu/ http://opensource.sfsu.edu/ ___ Olpc-open mailing list olpc-o...@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/olpc-open ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel

I'm assuming you had Adobe Flash on it as well. Sameer ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel
[Sugar-devel] Migrating the HIG
Just a quick heads up that I will be migrating the HIG from laptop.org to sugarlabs.org. The steps will be 1. pull DesignTeam/Hig/Sugar/* from sl.o 2. delete DesignTeam/Hig/Sugar/* from sl.o 3. pull OLPC Human Interface Guidelines from lt.org 4. merge deltas between the sugarlabs and laptop pages. 5. upload merged pages to sl.org -- 6. fix sl.o templates as necessary 7. update sl.o links as necessary -- 8. work with SJ to add notices and redirects as necessary to lt.org My bot is set so that it only accesses a page every 6 - 10 seconds so the load should not be too noticeable. david ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel
[Sugar-devel] No ActivityTeam meeting this Friday
We didn't schedule one, but in case anyone thought there would be, there is no ActivityTeam meeting this Friday. I'm out of town this week, and I'm leaning towards bi-weekly anyway. I'll send out another email when we set the next time. Cheers, Wade ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel
