Sorry, seemed to have missed a conversation here, what's with idea that alt keys are not getting through to Sugar for emulators/Macs? I run sugar-jhbuild here in F10 under VirtualBox on a Mac, and Soas images as well. No problem with alt keys that I'm aware of. I have no experience in this
