There is no mention of OLPC or Sugar, but I think it's good background info
as well as a good news story.

Flavio,
Would be good have concrete proposals about what you think can be improved,
to be discussed point by point.
About a easier implementation of collaboration, we discussed a proposal,
and I think Agustin started a implementation.

Yeah I think it make sense to mention it in the documentation, it's
something every developer will run into. I'd suggest to try and keep our
own documentation as short as possible and link out to the requirejs shim
doc though, to avoid duplication and help maintenance.

Thanks, Daniel!
I'd rather use "shim", too.
I think it's a common need to have non-AMD dependencies when building an
activity.
What do you think about finding out a canonical way to achieve this and
write it down in "write your own activity" doc?
I'm willing to make a pull-request with the update
Both can be used. The glib implementation is not as complete as python-dbus
if I remember correctly.

Excuse me butting in this talk , but as they are addressing the issue of
design, I think it's a good time to reiterate some proposals I have made
several times.
I think Sugar would do very well a change in appearance and in some cases
functionality. I say it should be graphically attractive to use
I think we have been suggesting to use the shim. Modifying loader.js should
be fine, the template one shouldn't change often.

I cannot reproduce. Which distro are you using? It would be interesting to
know if people on the same distro are seeing this.
Couple of things you could try

Hello, list!
I'd like to add a non-AMD lib (AngularJS in this case) to my activity.
Here only points out how to add AMD ones:

Of course there are workarounds like adding script tags (I'd rather not) or
setting
p.s. it is good that you are being transparent with your decisions,
because that gives you a chance to have them publically reviewed. ;-)

It should be possible, might take some time to build though. I guess I
would take a patch.
I wonder if it make sense to update to F20 early. There are no XO build
based on F19 anyway... Though, well, I have no idea if we will have any

Yeah that's a known issue, unfortunately Fedora 19 doesn't have abiword
introspection support. It will be solved when we upgrade to Fedora 20.

Thanks for the update. Currently, AC does not have the credibility to
participate in the design process. Let's give it 2-3 months for AC's
R&D team learning how to work effectively with the HTML5+JS team at

In the first couple of weeks, I expect that this will mostly involve
