Re: [Sugar-devel] Unable to use shared clipboard in sugar live vm.
Thanx to you all for suggesting these many alternatives. I tried and most of them worked. The simplest among them I found , was installing vboxguest-addition, which provide couple of good easy options to share data between host and guest vm and ofcourse enhanced vm interface. Re: [Sugar-devel] Unable to use shared clipboard in sugar live build vm.
I have windows and i have installed debian sugar live build in it as a virtual machine through virtualbox. I am unable to copy text from windows to my virtual machine or vice versa. In any virtual machine in virtual box we can enable the shared clipboard feature to enable host to guest or guest to host copy paste. But its not working for me. [Sugar-devel] Unable to use shared clipboard in sugar live vm.
Even after enabling bidirectional clipboard it doesnt work in sugarlivebuild vm. Have tried some change in settings but it didnt work. Although with the same settings there is no copy paste issue in other vm's i am using. I think its something from my side. Re: [Sugar-devel] Apply Changes to Sugar live build.
In terminal activity,I changed to super user with su command. Then cd/ to respective directory. Then, vi(command) module.py. It opened the module.Switched to insert mode(i). Changed the code. Then saved and exit it using (:wq! ) I confirmed the changes by reopening the module. They are there. But when I restarted it the changes were not kept. The module was in its original state. And Yes, I will make sure to keep related queries in same thread. Re: [Sugar-devel] GSoC'21 draft proposal for 'Port Sugar and core activities to python3 '
Sir , This is my first time contributing to open source. I have been learning python ports and have experience of bug fixing in it apart I have no such contribution in any other open source project. I have gone through most of the changes done after sugar port to python 3 pull merge. I have been testing regression issues but still there is more to be done from my side. More thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Re: [Sugar-devel] GSOC 21 Aspirant
I have thought of few ideas of development in sugarizer. 1.Including Filter in Activity list. There are number of sugar activities. So applying filter to find our needy activity without scrolling all of them in the activity list. Filters like gaming, science, etc. would help. 2.Adding Dictionary as sugar activity. 3. Rather than displaying the activity list from top (by default) after every time we quit an application , the activity list is to be displayed at the point till the place up to where it was already scrolled. I thought for this as when i was try all activities one by one in the activity list , when i reached to activities present in the last of activity page each time when i quit an activity i was by default directed to top of activity list . So for going to the activity next to previous activity i would have had to scroll again to bottom. I have thought of few of these ideas and thinks they will help in increasing the utility of the platform. I would request you to guide me with your opinion over these.
