We have now a kinda-like bot activity. it's called hablar con sara,
it's mainly a chatter bot in union with speak, you type things and she
interacts with you..it can be taught to tell about how to make activities
etc.

Sounds like cool idea. Just some issues you may run into. IIRC, most
of pyglet uses OpenGL, which would require hardware that most of what
Sugar runs on doesn't have (XOs, netbooks) or Mesa, which may not be
fast enough.

Yep, python is an amazing scripting language in itself though (and there are
a couple of skeletal code lying on the net), there is implementation still
remaining , for instance seen, karma, and msg passing. A day or two and it
will be done. We better not deviate from the topic though :p

The idea kinda stemmed off while I've been developing a bot for irc in
python, I was trying to make a female pair for xobot.

cool, thanks for your response. And yep, my gsoc project will definitely be
my top and only responsibility till august, but there are so many things I
can do for sugar, and it excites me greatly to think about them :D

I definitely like this idea. It is a fun way for kids to provide information
services such as technical support. I would give it a simple eliza-like
engine and let the kids go crazy with it.
Of course, should you be accepted for GSoC, your primary responsibility

So I have been working on an IRC bot for a while, and an idea had occurred,
what if we have a graphical bot with a few limited animations for now, make
it an activity, and feed it with help and documentation on every other
activity and itself ofcourse. In the future a language dictionary an
