I've found you in logs, as ahmedkrmn on the #sugar channel, last
Friday.

You had some interesting questions, but they came at a time of low
activity.

Don't forget, IRC is not a persistent medium.  Your questions won't
necessarily be seen by others unless they are active at the time you
ask them.

We don't have a fixed time at the moment.  But best times for me are
evening in the United States, and morning in Australia.

Can you tell us more about how you are trying to use IRC?

$ egrep -v "quit|joined|has left|Day changed" /tmp/#sugar.log | wc -l
236

An average of around 30 lines a day isn't extremely busy, but it's well more 
than not having any activity.

What network are you connecting to? What nick are you using? Is it registered 
with freenode, and have you identified (authenticated) when connecting? Have 
you tried to say anything in the channel?

Generally speaking, there is no fixed time. While I would encourage 
anyone who wanted to to "idle" on IRC (keep it in the background logged 
in, assuming you have reliable and inexpensive enough connectivity), we 
see _so many_ people log in for five, ten, or fifteen minutes, ask a 
single question, and then disappear. This is not helpful behavior, nor 
is it conducive to getting responses.


Remember, we are all globally distributed. IRC is not a replacement for 
e-mail lists. Please do not treat it as such.
