This election is not necessary. Unfortunately, we have a bit of a hole in our process that sometimes results in this state (generally this happens when the new project lead doesn't already have an Eclipse Foundation Account when the project creation occurs). I've appointed Michael into the role. I'll delete the election record. Please advise the members of the sumo-dev mailing list.
