Hi all;
If anyone is nostalgic for DOS, and has a copy of the Dialist's
Companion ; and would like to run it on Windows 7; I have found
DOSbox (free) to work well. DOSBox is also advertised to be compatible
with Linux, Mac OS X and OS/2.

While the objective of sundials are no longer the determination of accurate
time, I find the folk today expect to find mean time. I provide a notice which
explains how the students can compare mean time and sun time directly from
their dial.

No problems at all; two comments
1. The EoT is the negative of the convention usually accepted today
2. The description of the use of the horizontal dial could include the use
of the analemmas for direct reading.
