Clem, I presume you are talking about Vancouver, B.C. I was there
several summers ago and found a sundial quite by accident on the
beach. Its been awhile I am going
associated with it on the base so
I don't think the gnomon was complicated or correcting for local time.
If I can be of any help let me know.
Happy restoration,

Hi all,
I have been skimming all the dial stuff lately and have seen a few
comments on using GPS and Compasses for orienting sundials. On my first

Hello All,
The company I work for has be metric for years. However printed circuit
boards are still laid out in English units. I think this is because
Integrated circuit packages have traditionally be designed in Inches.
Integrated circuit die are now talked about in gates per square
millimeter.
Fernando, Your GPS is probably as good as it gets as far as time
accuracy is concerned. However your unit must be tracking or have been
locked on recently. The internal clock does not have very good long
term accuracy by itself. Actual time from the gps is accurate in the
microsecond level. We
at this web page for abrasive blast
photo resist materials. I think they can also be used for chemical
etching. http://www.photobrasivesystems.com/datasheets/films.html

(except the samples).
Has anyone in this group used this technique for sundial fabrication?
I appears to be a process which could be quite economical and can
provide a great deal of detail into a very durable dial material.
Happy dialing

I am planning to travel to Greece next month and was wondering if anyone
