I think one could enhance the usefulness of this mailing list if occasionally real time meetings would be held on line at specified dates and times ;) Using free software like mIRC (www.mirc.com) or ICQ (www.mirabilis.com) several people can join in one session of real time chat over the net . Ale

dialling with AutoCAD

Hello all there   I would like to know if someone has ever done any dial design using AutoCAD or some other CAD software - i think it would prove pretty accurate to draw and plot/print the results   Is there some program which makes this task easier? like some CAD add-on or plugin etc Thanks

Hi there fellow dialers. I have a sundial of a friend of mine...who tried to replace a rusty gnomon but ended up breaking/chipping part of the stone of the dial itself.its a freestanding veritcal dial... With what can i attach the stone and the gnomon back in place? I thought some epoxy g

hi there all gnomonists I was given a limestone sundial to restore and parts of it have broken. I was told to use an epoxy glue to stick these stone parts to the stone sundial itself...can someone please tell me any good brand names of such products?   Thanks Alexei Pace
