Carl, I've been looking at what may be a simple solution. A metric Framing Square, A Plumb Bob, One of those Cheap Laser Levelers that put out a Line rather than a spot on a surface. For instance the leveler shining from 500 mm on the short arm of the square to the other arm of the square
