We have made a one step install package easy install freenet
using InstallAnywhereNow. Java is included in the package. The
file is only 4MB. It is mostly targeted for Chinese users who do
not read English. A Chinese version of the documentation is also

I wonder what's the correct upgrade procedure (for repository and
configuration) when installing a new version of Freenet (if there's
one). I remember taking .freenetrc and the .freenet directory worked for
me a while ago, but that's not safe because the internal structure may
change.
