[freenet-support] installing with java 1.5.0 rc

I just completed a fresh install of XP and one of the last things on the list was Freenet. I had already installed the Sun JDK ver. 1.5.0rc, but the installer will not recognize it and so fails. I don't want to install an earlier version of java, but will if I must. Anybody have a work around?
