[freenet-support] Native datastore or non native ?
Hi, I've just looked in my freenet.ini file and saw storeType=freenet Does it mean it is native or not ? FI, I've got version 0.5pre4 upgraded to build519, downloading the latest freenet*.jar. What are the different possibility for this entry ? in the ini file it says # The type of store we have (this text will get clearer soon). installs and runs fine. but please test the import/export functionality of the tray utility, it has never worked so far. if it can't be fixed in time for the release deadline Ian asks for it might be good to remove that functionality ___ support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support

Matthew said, at some point in the last few days, that the current snapshots will convert all data stores to native. I don't know exactly which build number (or CVS timestamp) introduced this change. The easy way to tell: just look at it. If you've got a single huge file named store_N (where N is some number) then you have a monolithic data store. If store_N is a directory with 256 subdirectories inside it, then it's native. -- Greg Wooledge | Truth belongs to everybody. - Original Message - From: William_dw -- Sqlcoders [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:support-admin;freenetproject.org]On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] another thing, but i'm not sure if this is just because of my chaotic installation: FProxy/Basic Settings/FProxy active is NOT enabled in the configurator, but fproxy is active. either the setting of the checkbox is not processed or the configurator does not parse the .ini file correctly I've noticed this too on a fresh install to a virgin machine, but as you say fProxy still works whether the checkbox is checked or not. Known issue. The checkbox currently looks for a fproxy or a nodeinfo on the services line. Since neither of those actaully will ever be on the services line with the new mainport, i'm trying to stick them together. I will hopefully come up with a way of seperating the two, but at this time there isn't a clean way of telling the node I know I'm telling you to create this class, but don't really do it. I just updated the webinstaller again. The checkboxes in question are disabled and there are quite a few more steps being taken in the installer to make the install process more smooth. then i pressed cancel to discard my settings - but, the windows stays open, giving me interresting gfx-garbage: regardless which tab i click on, the last page is always displayed, overwriting the page i wanted to see; giving me the fuzzy feellig of oh-oh, dunno work, windows will break, everything is lost :D Hmm. Haven't seen that one yet. :) Cancel works fine for me, clicking OK tries to pop up a box telling me my changes require a node restart, but the focus isn't on the popup window and so I assumed my settings had automatically taken effect. Any chance of focusing making that dialog a system-modal oh windows configurator people? Yeah, it's on the big-list-o-things to fix. I'll see how soon I can get it done. -Mathew ___ support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support

Re: [freenet-support] New windows installer
IT WORKS!! Finally! Thank you so much Mathew! I can get to TFE, Da Gj, Freenet Forever, etc.! And I already have over a dozen node refs! Yahoo! :) I would like to offer a big round of applause to Mathew Ryden for finally being able to make an installer that works on my machine! Win95 with JRE 1.3.1_04 (now to get it working on my win98 fileserver machine that's slow but that's for tomorrow) Thanks, John At 01:08 AM 10/20/2002 -0400, you wrote: - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Howdy! Wouldn't it auto-create it if it can't find it? *shrug* I didn't write this, i'm just trying to fix it :p I just uploaded a new freenet-webinstall.exe. Could you test it to see if it works any better (well, it works a lot better for me by not deleting my only copy of the freenet.jar's but there are some other things in there I want to test that may change things for you) Thanks, John Cole -Mathew Paypal membership: free Donation to Freenet: $20 Never having to answer the question Daddy, where were you when they took freedom of the press away from the Internet?: Priceless. http://www.freenetproject.org/index.php?page=donations ___ support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
