[freenet-support] Freenet newer than 5.0.7
When will the next stable version of freenet(5.0.8 or 5.1.0) become available for download (the widnows version)? Until then will there be available a complete 5.0.7 (or newer) windows version? (like the 5.0.6-1 complete version- without webinstall). I am asking this because like I said before the webinstaller doesn't work for me. The full install should be up and accessible similar to the webinstaller now. I still haven't had any ideas on why the webinstall doesn't work for you - it seems a very odd problem. More that your connection to sf.net dies, rather than an actual error in the installer. When the DNF page in recent stable builds of Freenet comes up for a DBR site, it has a hyperlink on it which leads to yesterday's edition. You click it. What does DNF stand for? Data Not Found. Freenet's equivalent of an HTTP 404. ?date=3D20030105 in the URL bar or something. I think I could handle the or something but is ?date=3D2--30105 a magic phrase. I have no idea what it stands for. First of all, it means your mail client is broken. There should not be a 3D after the =. It's just 2003 01 05 which means January 5, 2003. All together: ?date=20030105 (assuming your mail client doesn't mangle it again). I'll try to make sure mutt doesn't use quoted-printable encoding this time, since that's probably what made your mail client barf. I've snipped the rest of your message, since they weren't direct questions that I can answer. It does let one use other browsers more easily now, but the last time I tried to set up Mozilla for mail, it wanted my mail sytem to have not used POP and it does so that pretty well confused that. Actually the last make of Mozilla seems to offer other options, but that was even more confusing. Oh, well... At 21% the download just stops(it doesn't stops gradualy: it's running at full speed and the suddenly the installer says that that the download failed..). I tried to install freenet from a friend's computer using another OS (win98) and another ISP and for him the first file downloaded OK but the secound file (freenet-ext..) refused to download. What about the other questions?(when will the next version of freenet will be available?)
