Sorry, this indicates a bug, it's just a bit ambiguous. There's nothing
_you_ can do about it, except report it to us. Is it causing any
apparent problems beyond the error message?

Thank you for your quick answer!
Current problem is that frost seem to be unable to get his boards.txt as
far I can see. The http-gateway is working fine. It may be caused by a
kill of frost I accidently did.
freenet itself seems to work fine, as the list of connections from
the freenet port growed since the errormessage.

[freenet-support] Lamer Help

2003-01-10 Thread Adam Sundor

Hi there,

Interesting project, freenet. Lokos quite good. Downloaded the file and it
appears to run, with warnings about MS IE.

Some problems though and curiosities. Don't know is this is presumably an
automated system, but will assume human so far.

1. For the start, the Help suggested I write you for a friendly beginning. I
don't know anybody using freenet so need the key or is that also a freesite
by URI?

Gather the network is quite busy, today, received:
Couldn't retrieve key:
CHK@hdXaxkwZ9rA8-SidT0AN-bniQlgPAwI%2cXdCDmBuGsd-ulqbLnZ8v%7ew
Hops To Live: 15
Error: Route not Found

2. Your excellent software, latest release for Windows, found a Java VM or
runtime environment. Should I bother with the latest Sun Java Version 2 or
not matter?

That was neat. Looking for Java instead of the usual lame, file not found, I
was most impressed with that.

3. Oh, I could not find any guides or helps concerning this freenetproject.
That seemed most curious. Are you being censored by any chance?

Thanks,
Adam

Open the Freenet gateway either by using the rabbit in the system
tray, or by browsing to http://127.0.0.1:/ in a web browser.
On the gateway page, there is a link to "The Freedom Engine", which
is a daily-updated site dedicated to listing virtually all Freenet
sites. This should be your starting point.

If you continue getting Route Not Found (RNF) errors for a prolonged
period of time, you might need to get newer seed node references.
