[freenet-support] build 5076

2004-03-18 Thread Nicholas Sturm

Using 5076 (stable) on dialup I actually retrieve a couple of files, first in several weeks. Still have only outgoing connections after about 30 minutes, but log looks much less confusing than most recent ones. 5074 actually got icons of 4 indexes today in about 15 minutes before I down loaded the most recent build.

Looks like something is progressing after much sputtering.

Any performance pages from the interface anyone would like to see?___

[freenet-support] Bug Report - win32 - freenet.exe - logFile=*path* not handled

2004-03-18 Thread Rudolf Krist
I have changed the logFile option in the freenet.ini file to an other
path. But when I click on View Logfile ... in the context menu of the
blue freenet symbol, freenet.exe still shows me the old unused
freenet.log in the freenet directory.

I've been downloading fairly large splitfiles from stable, reasonably
successfully...

I'll crack one out tonight.

And to the philosophy of some devs: RAM is cheap
New SDRAM will be detected only with half of it's normal size or even not

When I was having problems with half-size-detected issues it turned out that
it was due to the old motherboard only managing to detect one _side_ of any
double-sided SDRAMs...

Thats not the problem with new RAM here. double-sided, single-sided, they are all the
same. they just get detected half. If tested with newest bios, older bios, newer or
older computers that does not make any difference. It is caused from some changes in
the SDRAM architecture compared to the old RAM. At least it was explained in this way
to me. Actually I have some double-sided RAMs, which are way older, running in the
same computers correctly, in which newer one is only detected half.
