2007-03-09 Thread Matthew Toseland
Please delete wrapper.log and then restart. Once it has failed send me
the *full* wrapper.log. This is most likely some sort of timeout
problem; we can probably fix it.

No, it's not real. It's a bug. It's fixed in current testing versions.

[freenet-support] is this for real?

2007-03-09 Thread Edward Langenback
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA256

Greetings,

I've been letting freenet (0.7) run 24/7 for the last couple of weeks.
Today I happened to check the statistics page and this just didn't look
right:

* bwlimitDelayTime: 937ms
* nodeAveragePingTime: 667ms
* networkSizeEstimateSession: 8020 nodes
* avrConnPeersPerNode: 8.614261 peers
* nodeUptime: 20h10m
* routingMissDistance: 0.1247
* backedOffPercent: 69.4%
* pInstantReject: 12.7%
* unclaimedFIFOSize: 1241

I'm specifically talking about the number of nodes it's reporting. Just two
days ago that number was somewhere around 550 or so. I have a real problem
believing this 8020 number.

Running on win xp, java 1.5.0_11-b03

I've tried numerous Java versions from Sun 1.5.0.11, 1.6 and blackdown

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? I couldn't get any better results
from Windows either.
Any suggestions?

Re: [freenet-support] Node won't start

Please delete wrapper.log and then restart. Once it has failed send me
the *full* wrapper.log. This is most likely some sort of timeout
problem; we can probably fix it.
