[freenet-support] Freenet 0.7 build 880; resumable inserts

2006-07-14 Thread Matthew Toseland
Freenet 0.7 build 880 is now available. Inserts of single files are now
resumable, so if you start a large insert, then restart your node before
it is finished, you will not lose all the progress on that insert.
Please upgrade. The build should appear on the auto-update system very
soon. If your node does not automatically pick it up in a day or so then
there is a bug; please contact us, or complain on the Freenet board on
Frost. If you are running build 870 or earlier, you will need to upgrade
manually using update.sh or update.cmd.

[freenet-support] Linux Spiders

2006-07-14 Thread urza9...@gmail.com
Well, after failing to install Freenet on Slackware, I realized,
Mandrake was the best (in terms of 'just working') Linux distro I'd
ever used up until 10.1 and 2005LE, so I decided to give it another
shot. So far so good. Freenet's running nicely too, once I found the
missing step in the Java installation instructions...

Anyways, I'm looking for a spider. I googled it, but found nothing.
I'd prefer an HTTP link, since freenet is still slow, but if you can
only find a freenet link that's cool too...I got freenet running on
this box under windoze already. Not running very well, but running.

[freenet-support] Consecutive same winner

2006-07-14 Thread -
Hi,
I have a major problem with "Consecutive Same Winner" errors. I got 1671 of
these in 2.5 hours of running freenet. It this bad? What can I do to fix
this? I've always had this problem since I started using freenet.

I'm running freenet 0.5,
and not planning on switching 0.7
windows, athlon 64 3000+ with 2gigs of ram, and the datastore on a 1gig
ramdisk

Thanks,

[freenet-support] Consecutive same winner

This is caused by high CPU usage if I remember correctly...
