[freenet-support] A maximum of 40 connections on XP SP3?

2008-05-22 Thread Level 13
My node (version 0.5) is supposed to allow 90 concurrent open
connections. However, in the last week or so I've only seen 40 listed
connections in the Open Connections segment of node's control panel,
e.g.

Connections open (Inbound/Outbound/Limit) 40 (0/40/90)

The only thing that was changed in the last two weeks was an install
of Service Pack 3. Could this have affected the node in any way
regarding the number of connections? I did, however, re-apply the
"max. half open connection" patch after installing SP3.

[freenet-support] how to uninstall freenet?

2008-05-22 Thread Ahmed Nasr
I've setup Freenet on my machine, but it caused some serious problems,
it created some different user for the firefox, where I cannot find
any of my bookmarks, cookies or cache, I'm also unable to use my
regular user I used before installing, other problem that Im unable to
browse any sites with AJAX interface correctly!

Now how to undo all this?

Im using Ubuntu 8.04, firefox 3 Beta 5.
Ive tried to reinstall firefox but it didn't work.

Thanks alot.

[freenet-support] freenet not working - can't access first time wizard

2008-05-22 Thread kotekzot
after the installation has run i get the welcome screen telling me to
access the first time wizard at http://127.0.0.1:/wizard/, but when i
try to do it i get the following error:
> You tried to access the address http://127.0.0.1:/wizard/, which is
> currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is
> correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
installation also halts at the third step from the bottom (the one with
the wheels icon) without any options to use. clicking on next does
nothing, clicking on back causes an error. i've enclosed the screenshot
with this email.
i'm running windows vista x64, avg free and the latest version of java.
please advise if you can.

Run firefox -ProfileManager and unclick Don't ask at
startup. Thereafter, when you open Firefox, you'll have the choice
of which profile to use.
