[freenet-support] Recommended firewall rules

2004-04-16 Thread g_12345
What firewall rules do you recommend?
e.g. for javaw.exe allow TCP in and out for all addresses all ports
Any views on vulnerabilities?

You want freenet to be able to contact any ip:port combination (i.e.
allow all outgoing traffic)
Incoming connections are handled on the listenPort, that you have
configured (probably 4501), so you need to open that port in the FW.
The fcp port (8481) and fproxy port () are only accessed from
localhost, so don't let external computers contant them.
