My only working method for restarting freenet after it is stopped in any manner is to: execute the install program which downloads a copy of the newest freenet.jar and that also starts freenet. Otherwise I get an error message which I've check as carefully as my knowledge permits AND all is exactly as it says I should try to make the appropriate lines of the configuration file. So... I have only a very inefficient method of restarting freenet.
