there's been discussion over this before, several people have
pointed out it's a shoddy way to do things. apparently openmoko sign
their own certificates (i think), so it's not recognised as coming
from a certificate authority.
It's a long story, but definitely not a 'shoddy way'.

It sounds like a network issue. I would try pinging google.com. If this
failes then ensure the nameserver is correct

i say, the battery is flat -- your symptoms perfectly match.

Yes, it is out of date. Openmoko has been shipping A7 units for a
while, and the buzz fix problem has been fixed in those. Likewise the
A6 buzz problems can be fixed through several programs.

After some more research:
a) issues:
1)cannot scroll in the settings normally.
Meaning that even if you scroll, it will also click in the end. When
scrolling should not click.
Also the scroll bar is not working properly (does not appear when needed and
it is in my oppinion reversed).
