You can try to boot any other distro from uSD card, obtain root
privileges there, mount internal flash which contains 'hackable:1' and
edit /etc/ files.

I am currently using openmoko neo freerunner.
1. I have forgotten the root password. How to reset my root password?
2. I want to install wpa_supplicant on that machine, how can I do that?
3. How can I access and install applications on my phone from my linux
desktop?

Sometimes requires a couple of goes
Manually connect - dont use any of the gui utilities
killall wpa_supplicant before you start.

already tried that , system was out of battery charger for 4 hours .

eth0 is not there at all!!
Try with another kernel or/and with fresh-flashed rootfs.
