A symptom/cure database is needed. Without 2c interaction.

RE: Display not working

2010-08-06 Thread Harshil Anil Kumar Shah
Hi,

Sorry for insufficient description of the problem.

Actually,
I connected my FR to my laptop for convenient access.
I wanted to scan my WPA2-EAP network on eth0 interface of FR.
I did "iwlist eth0 scan"

Then it showed message "Device is temporarily unavailable" on laptop.

Then I looked at FR, its display was gone.

I tried to turn it by "Power" button. But no there is no display.

But If I look it closely in darkness, I can see Openmoko symbol.

Thanks.

so far your descriptions are not really helpful.

you see the openmoko logo but then nothing happens?
then there's neither a problem with the display nor the backlight, but
with your X.

please describe _exactly_ what happens from powering on the freerunner
until the moment the problem occurs and describe in detail the problem!

Please don't use three question marks when one is enough :-) The LCD
does not produce any light. To be able to see the picture in a normal
environment you need the backlight. Reading

might help.

Any chance to get know what did you do with FR before this failure? I
