Re: No space left on device
It worked perfect. I took the card, i removed from fstab the line that used to mount the flash and I managed to boot the system on the SD. Thanks everyone for help. arne anka wrote: - to bood from the SD in QT, but it is failing also (trying to mount /var/something ) and stops you could mount the sd card in your pc and modify the fstab of qt, to mount only from sd. besides that, i would have expected it to mount /var ... to tmpfs, not nand (or any physical storage at all). for a minimal system, using the sd card image created to flash the firmware could help -- i think, it starts sshd, too. if you didn't flash the newer calypso firmware, it could be done now, and if you flashed already, it doesn't harm. if you don't like it, you could remove the startup script from (probably) /et/init.d/ and boot from the sd card then. ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/%22No-space-left-on-device%22-tp3049533p3054187.html Sent from the Openmoko Support mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support
No space left on device
I managed to make the root fs full and now I cannot boot any longer. What are the options (besides reflashing). What I tried: - to bood from the SD in QT, but it is failing also (trying to mount /var/something ) and stops What might also work, but I need a confirmation: - make a image from the root fs (in jffs2 format), mount it in linux, clear up some junk, put it back. Any other ideas? Thanks P.S. can we put some kind of fool proof mode which will allow the usb networking, without the need to write anything on the FS ? -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/%22No-space-left-on-device%22-tp3049533p3049533.html Sent from the Openmoko Support mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support

I would also check to see if you are using u-boot or qi. I think u-boot only support partitions of certain sizes. Re: No space left on device
I use u-boot, but before both OSes were booting up properly. I suppose there is no problem with it. BTW, with QI can I have more than one OS on the SD and select which one to boot up? Thanks.
