I don't use a UPS on my two firewalls and I they are in a pretty hostile
environment, they have been running for more than a year now with no disk
failure. My theory is that since they boot up quicker than any other device
there is no need to have them on a UPS, since none of the other equipment

I noticed this in the HEAD as was testing on it. Presently it does not
seem to accept a real url

This already exists in HEAD. It will be included in 1.1.
