I would like to add a skype account to Pidgin, but can't choose the
Skype protocol in the settings.
How can i fix this problem?

The Skype protocol is a trade secret and I believe that the Skype API
licensing is incompatible with including Skype support in a GPL licensed

machines. some work fine, some do not - the error is unauthorized. we're

narrowing it down and believe the problem is either a windows 7 security

are both saying the same thing. They started doing this the same time and the

In that case, you are asking on the wrong mailing list! This mailing
list is for people having problems with Pidgin (or otherwise wanting to
find out information about Pidgin). It is a peer support
