vvconfig only default entry

Hello there I want to use XMPP with jingle and pidgin, but in the vvconfig plugin i can only select the default device under every entry. Am I missing something? I am running arch linux with gnome and with gstreamer-properties i can select the right devices. As i have read it should be the same
