I'm hoping you can help. My friend on MSN has changed her buddy icon but it
still hasn't changed in Pidgin. Is there a way to force it to refresh, or
better still is it a problem that needs resolving? I'm running version 2.7.9

I am not able to display buddy icon in my own messenger using libpurple for
windows..
I am using following mentioned API's.
icon = purple_buddy_get_icon(pBuddy);
check = purple_buddy_icons_node_has_custom_icon(pBuddy-node);
path = purple_buddy_icon_get_full_path(pBuddy-icon);

i can't seem to find a way to UNHIDE the buddy icon in the chat window
(using 2.5.2 in Ubuntu). if i right-click on a buddy's icon, i can
save it or hide it, but once it's hidden, i can't seem to right-click
to have the option of showing it again. for some buddies, i'm sure
that i never hid

I'm using gaim and pidgin behind a proxy server (squid) that has an
firewall (shorewall) that acts as a gateway also.
But it seems that the server blocking the Yahoo's buddy icon.
Strangely,when I use the standard Yahoo Messenger (provided by Yahoo),
the buddy icon shows.
