PC with windows obtained serious virus. no more yh messenger. would wish
for cam to be working on Pidgin. I did not set up the PC with Linux
system. Is Cam use deactivated by administrator settings?

Hello everybody and thanks for reading this,
I've been having some problems to run the webcam on pidgin, the webcam
(Eye PS3) is detected but when the
conversation starts, it doesn't sends the image/sound to the other
computer. ( and it doesn't receive neither)
Pidgin is installed on a GNU
please assist me in telling me how to activate wecam on pidgin instant
messenger

To activate the webcam during an conversation that supports it, you would
go to: Conversation menu - Media - Video Call.

I am using Pidgin 2.5.2 (the default and most current version on my Asus EEE
1000 LINUX PC. This line of netbooks uses the Xandros debian distro.
There does not seem to be any viable alternatives WRT multiprotocol IM
clients. Webcam support in Pidgin would be a very desirable and highly
welcome
to communicate with family members and friends. Now I
can access to buddy list of yahoo and msn messenger from pidgin but can't use
voip and webcam there? Aren't there applications for this reason.?
