I've just tried to set up Pidgin and have run into trouble. The main thing
I've found with the help is that it's not helpful - it's far too technical
and tends to concentrate on things that have gone wrong in the past rather
than a good, simple guide to how to get going.
My specific
Are there any plans to build a Pidgin for iOS? Meebo is not dependable.

Have you tried Beejive? I use it on my BB and iOS devices - Been happy
with it for the last 6-7yrs.

I was wondering if anyone has determined a resolution for the Pidgin window not
being forced on top in WIndows 7. We are finding this to be a terrible
inconvenience so I am wondering if anyone has found a solution.

I'd second Beejive. IM+ is alright, but I've consistently liked Beejive
better, on both platforms.
As far as pidgin for iOS, it would be a major undertaking since GTK+ for
iOS doesn't exist, and it wouldn't be particularly reliable without a
major reengineering effort due to iOS' background
