Pidgin port in ubuntu

I am using pidgin in Ubuntu machine. how can i find in which port this
application is working?

'Not Authorized' is almost always indicative of an incorrect password.

If you have double- (and possibly triple-) checked your password in pidgin
and are still getting that error then open the Help-Debug Window attempt
to connect again and then include the contents of the debug window in
another email.

pidgin uses the ports configured for the appropriate services as indicated
in the Account dialog for them as well as any ports configured for file
transfer/etc. in the Preferences dialog.

pidgin does not, in general, listen for connections however and as such
does not have ports it uses.

You missed the attempt to connect again part of my directions. We need
the debug window contents from *after* that.

All those lines tell us is that your preferences were written to the
prefs.xml file.
