No. IRC chat participant list, which is part of irc chat window, only shows yellow star and flag icons for channel admins. No status, neither green or clock. If i add irc user to main buddy list, green icon is always shown regardless of away status. This was observed with latest linux and windows clients on multiple IRC servers. Ideas? Changes your IRC nick to indicate you are away. No, that is not it. Setting your own status works fine. Perhaps this is a question for dev list? @Kaarel, That is very likely. I can't find much about it on the internet with the exception of old bug reports that are marked as closed. SIP: messages bounce back when contact status is busy or away
Hi Team, I started using pidgin to have more flexible environment and logging capabilities as compared to MS office communicator, the problem i am facing is that whenever I am having a conversation with someone on my contact list with their status set as busy or in meeting, the messages i sent starts to bounce back stating that the contact is offline, where as in actual they are online and receive all the messages i sent. Junaid, Are you using the SIPE plugin? (If yes) Since SIPE is not bundled with Pidgin, it is considered a 3rd party library, which is unsupported by the Pidgin project.
