Re: Pidgin + sipe
Yeah, no one likes this bug, but pointing this out like some form of responsibility is the wrong approach. Someone had offered advice on how to isolate the bug. Do that and fix it yourself. That's how open source works. Get involved and pay it forward to the world. ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Use this link: https://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
Re: Pidgin + sipe
Tres, I agree with you in principal and I am very grateful for all the efforts put in by the community and for the free software we all benefit from. But at the same time, I'm of the opinion that if you break it you should fix it too. Maybe I was too harsh in my post, but this has been broken for long enough and we need to be able to depend on the software working over time. Many people rely on open source and can contribute with code if they have the skills but if they don't I for one would not want them to touch the code. There are other ways to contribute, like through donations, evangelism, testing and verification. I will try to follow Stefan's advice as best as I can but please don't ask me to fix it myself. 2014-08-16 17:39 GMT+02:00 Tres Finocchiaro tres.finocchi...@gmail.com: Yeah, no one likes this bug, but pointing this out like some form of responsibility is the wrong approach. Re: [dkim] Timestamp plugin
From any IM window, click the Conversations menu. Is the Show Timestamps checkbox checked? I think maybe that's what you want? ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Use this link: https://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support

I think there have also been changes to the list of CA certs bundled with Pidgin (which may or may not be relevant to the build you're using). There have also been many important security fixes. I can't guarantee that upgrading to the current version will fix your problem, but I think it's not worth spending time debugging an older version. And upgrading will protect you from many security problems. ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Use this link: https://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support

Re: Reg: Cannot connect to ICG via pidgin
Try checking the connection settings for the ICQ account. You can do this from Pidgin's Accounts window. Modify the account in question. Switch to the Advanced tab. The server should be slogin.icq.com, port should be 5190, connection security should be Use encryption if available, and use clientLogin should be checked. ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe?
