Correct - I tried two clients, (pidgin and empathy) and both of them
complained and could not connect.
Did M$ change something on the fly just to screw with us?
I believe the regular live client connects fine - a collague's computer
who still suffers windows connected fine this morning.

What did you use -- telepathy-butter or telepathy-haze. The
latter just uses libpurple, so there is no difference from
pidgin. I don't know

Since this started on a Monday, I bet some big wig at M$ has decided
let's get rid of the non-MSN clients so they are forced to use Windows,
start it on next monday. Oops, my hatred is showing.
Our best bet is to try to adapt to whatever the native clients are doing.

On Ubuntu 8.04.1 - Pidgin 2.4.1 = OK, working. The client connects to MSN.
On Windows XP - Pidgin 2.5.2 = FAILED: Unable to retrieve MSN Address Book (In
french: Impossible de récupérer le carnet d'adresses MSN).
