with UPnP both enabled and disabled on the router, I tested with the various options for MSN accounts in Pidgin (e.g. 'Use HTTP Method', 'Allow direct connections', etc.) both enabled and disabled, and set my correct external IP in Pidgin's Network settings. Nothing made any difference to MSN file

I have been unable to send files via transfer to a friend for some time. I am using Pidgin v2.6.1 and he is using Windows Live Messenger. This isn't listed as a problem and has never been addressed in many version changes. Is there a way to fix it so that I can send him a file?

I know this was mentioned in the FAQ but didn't see it in the Developers section. I was wondering if it could be added there in case someone wants to either write a plugin or someone gets an idea about how to go Peer to Peer with the file transfers thereby speeding it up. I know some of the
