How can I disable an embedded Windows Media Player from
starting automatically?
I have my Quicktime plugin set to load but not start till I
hit the play button.
Flashblock keeps flash audio from autostarting.
I'd like to set my WMP plugin to display, but not start till
I click play.

Microsoft just issued a patch to disable it because it was a security issue,
so if you use Windows Update, that should do it, no?

According to the webmaster for the site I was accessing, (http://www.yourqfm.com/)it doesn't autoplay in IE but it does in Mozilla/Seamonkey.

He said, "he streaming component we are using at this point is a windows media player based plug-in, of course made by Microsoft. Mozilla doesn’t interpret the full feature set of the plug-in as Internet Explorer does. It is set to not auto play and does work with Internet Explorer just fine, but Mozilla doesn’t understand that option."
