Downloading message body with SMTP

I wanted to download all the messages from the inbox of my ISP's server. There are a couple of thousand there. I use SMTP for my mail. How can I download the entire message (s) not just the headers? My browser is Seamonkey 2.40 and OS is Win 7 (32 bit). Thanks for your helphg.
