I AM USING SINCE MAY YEARS SEAMONKEY AND HAVE SEVERAL EMAIL ACCOUNTS
CONFIGURED ON MY SEAMONKY 2.49.3 ON MAC OS X 10.9.5
I AM NOW TRYING TO GET A HOTMAIL ACCOUNT GOING ON MY SEAMONKEY BUT
UNFORTUNATELY HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. YOUR HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH

When I access my Hotmail account now, all I get are titles down the left
hand side, and I can't access any of my folders. Is this happening to
anyone else? Looks real strange...

Do you have a Hotmail account that is actually eligible for POP access? I

accounts. it works perfectly.
and although i haven't tried it with hotmail, it does show that there is
a plugin for it.

SeaMonkey but all I get is authentication failed. Server is
pop3.live.com, port is 995, password is right. What's the problem? TIA

The problem is that in the Account Settings, in Server Settings, in the
User Name textbox, the username _must_ include @hotmail.com. And then,
it works.

Try clearing cookies for hotmail. Maybe they implant something in a
cookie about your browser. I've tried it with my 1.1.17 and it works. My

Only a few headings show up and it's just not useable. Can anyone tell
me if it works in SM 2.x? You have to compare with how it shows up in IE
to see the difference

Hotmail is what needs to be repaired, not SeaMonkey. Among other
things, the Hotmail server is doing invalid sniffing

Belgium itself! I /still/ can't access the mandatory Hotmail e-mail
address I got from school through POP3, though this time the error
message changed from inbox not available to user does not have POP3
