I doubt you will notice any delay with https on a more or less current platform. Usually theses delays are caused by bad and / or excessive javascript. Fx uses multiprocess so it feels faster because the content page is processed independently. In the end a sh*tty site is still a sh*tty site.

I only notice the usual javascript bloat. Without Noscript and uBlock the web would be unusable for me these days. I am mostly on 2.53 and it feels faster too but 2.49.4 is still ok for me. 2.57 should bring some further improvements. FRG Ant wrote: Like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
