There are a number of Hotmail bugs caused by invalid user-agent
sniffing. See the following:

If you can communicate with anyone at Hotmail who understands what they
are doing and cares about customers, you might communicate these to that
person.

In the meantime, if you spoof Firefox, do so with a user-agent string
that includes "SeaMonkey" as in the following (which I use):
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.21)
 Gecko/20090403 SeaMonkey/1.1.16, NOT Firefox/2.0.0.20
This way, we can prove that SeaMonkey is actually being used when some
Web master claims they have no SeaMonkey users. Also, only spoof
Firefox when needed; that way, the use of SeaMonkey will be noted by
those who track user-agent strings.

Go to Mozdev at for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.
