The new SeaMonkey 2.0 German Version hangs up after installation
Hello SeaMonkey Experts, I had just suffered the following error with SM 2.0, Build Identifier: http://download.mozilla.org/?product=seamonkey-2.0os=winlang=de I used the Version SM 1.1.18 German before and now. After downloading the new installer SeaMonkey Setup 2.0.exe version 29.10.2009 I restarted the computer as foreseen. Then SeaMonkey kept sticking in the initialisation routine. I tried a restart of Windows XP with no result. I tried a new installation of SM2.0 with no better esult. If I start seamonkey.exe the hourglasds symbol will last some secondes and do nothing. My task manager shows that a tastk SMAgent is running without using CPU time. I'm thinking that SMAgent is unrelated to SeaMonkey. That SMAgent is related to SoundMAX sound drivers. That there is just a coincidence in naming. Did you install SeaMonkey 2 into the same directory that you had installed SeaMonkey 1? I have the same problem on XP and also on Vista with SM german version. After install I see seamonkey.exe for about 5 sec in task manager. Then the process disappears. I also tried to install in a empty folder, but got still the same result. I also renamed the folder in my user account so SM made a new folder.
