Yes it will work, however it only works for old logs i.e. gzipped logs;
it doesn't limit the size of either a single gzipped logfile, or the
uncompressed freenet-latest etc logs.

and 50M Maximum disk space used by old logs
still getting several hunderes meg sized logs
