Hi all.
I am thinking about buying a Neo Freerunner.
But then I found the warning that battery will last
only 1 day, and also some better values on this list.
So, what are your personal records so far?
Second issue before buying: any recommendations for
small, but usable external keyboards?
Hi all.
I am trying to connect via USB to a Freerunner
from an openSUSE 11.2 box (which uses NetworkManager).
When I connect the cable, the following messages occur
in /var/log/messages.
Nov 21 15:36:40 ki97 kernel: [32902.783138] usb 4-1: new full speed USB device
using uhci_hcd and address 5
Thanks for the suggestions.
You convinced me to dumb the NetworkManager.
And now it works perfectly on openSUSE 11.2!
I only added a file /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth1
as recommended on this list:
# USB configuration for PDAs (openmoko)
IPADDR='192.168.0.200/24'
NETMASK='255.255.255.0'

Doesn't right clickedit networks in nm-applet work? It will screw up at
first but should be OK after you save your
settings.
Too late :-)
Maybe, I can try this on another PC later.

Hi all.
I'm sorry. I searched around but could not find the right page:
How can I setup the Freerunner (SHR of 2009-09) as a modem for a laptop
(so that the Freerunner acts like a surfstick or similar)?
Thanks in advance

Probably, because there's nothing else to do but this step.
Great.
Use DHCP now to connect to your device, that should be it.
Sorry, what do I type or launch exactly?

Well, as I said, with network-manager, or equivalent, it is
trivial.
Without,

Thanks. Somehow I have managed to miss it inside the wiki :-(
And for backup ideas, there is this page:

Hi all.
PIN dialog does not appear every second boot or so.
1. What is wrong here?
2. Can I invoke this dialog manually?
Ciao
