Both experienced the same issue within a couple hours, which to me,
indicates that it's something on Hotmail's end; even if one of my

to something invalid temporarily, then enable the account. Once the
account is trying to connect (but failing, to avoid getting you banned)
you should be able to remove the channel.
Once it's done, set the server connection information back.

Please reply to the list, and not just me personally?
Check for a pidgin icon in the system tray (near the clock), or use Task
Manager to find pidgin from your running processes list and terminate it.

Whatever you've got, it's not connected to pidgin. pidgin installs only
pidgin itself, and possibly GTK+ (although I think it's embedded in
pidgin at this point anyway). There's no browser plugin or anything else
included with pidgin.

the appropriate flags in the
XML, but this is not something that's formally supported or documented,
and of course you'd have to watch new pidgin versions carefully as the
logging settings in the config file could change at any point in the
future, without notice.
