Must have deep knowledge of and be able to answer probing questions regarding the following protocols: *SMTP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, NFS.* The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of hardware platforms including but not limited to *Dell, HP, IBM* both rack able and modular (blade technologies) and storage technologies. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* · Configuring and tuning system and network parameters for optimum performance. · Monitoring system stability and performance. · Troubleshooting system performance issues, diagnosing problems, and correcting issues with technicians located in remote data centers around the country. · Ensuring 24x7x365 operation (on-call rotation). · Rapidly scaling systems to meet demand.
