This might depend on your PCs graphic card, too. My 2012 MacBookPro supports at
least eight via HDMI; my late 2011 iMac only two.

Do you know of anybody who would be willing to rent a Soundfield SPS200 or
ST450 or the like in Berlin, Germany to me? My plan is to do field recordings,
