If it's a horizontal-only rig, it's usually best to aim the speakers at the
centre since this means that, at least at the centre, people will be in a
similar part of the frequency dependent polar diagram of the speakers,
simplifying any eq needed and reducing the tendency for any particular
speaker
Well. bodies soak up a lot of sound. You might need to raise the
speakers slightly with more people with speakers tilted slightly down.

Any thoughts on the importance of rotating the speakers to center of the
room when setting up a speaker array, an octagon for example? Are there
considerations with larger versus smaller audiences?
