hi sursounders!

paul doornbusch suggested that i post this here too, in case anyone's interested (went to the ardour users list originally):

a few months ago, i created two example sessions to demonstrate ardour's capabilities for the openDAW distribution, showing my usual workflow: i do everything in third-order ambisoncis internally, then fold down to stereo or 5.1 or whatever the customer wants.

if you want to play with the sessions, they are available at

http://stackingdwarves.net/download/Ardour_example_sessions/TIH.tar
(a saxophone/steelstring acoustic instrumental duo)

and

http://stackingdwarves.net/download/Ardour_example_sessions/MFV.tar
(a jazz sextet with drums, double bass, keyboards, guitar, flügelhorn and vocals)
.

there's lots of documentation in there, a README, session photos with miking details, and extensive track comments.

the whole stuff depends quite heavily on fons adriaensen's software, so mac users will have to grind some code and start their X11 for maximum enjoyment.

have fun,

jörn
